چکیده

The amplitudes of the transition γ∗N → P11(1440) are calculated within light-front relativistic quark model assuming that the P11(1440) is the first radial excitation of the 3q nucleon state. The results are compared with those obtained in close approaches by other authors and with standard nonrelativistic calculations. One of the reasons for this study was to present all these results within unified definition of helicity amplitudes consistent with the definition used in the extraction of the helicity amplitudes from experimental data in one-pion electroproduction. The results of relativistic quark models are qualitatively in good agreement with each other and differ strongly from nonrelativistic calculations. At small Q , these results for the transverse amplitude A1/2 are consistent, but fail to reproduce experimental data. The most probable explanation of this discrepancy is the absence of pion cloud contribution in the approaches under consideration.

Parity-conserving and -violating response functions are computed for the inclusive electroexcitation of the N∗(1440) (Roper) resonance in nuclear matter modeled as a relativistic Fermi gas. Using various empirical parameterizations and theoretical models of the N −N∗(1440) transition form factors, the sensitivity of the response functions to details of the structure of the Roper resonance is in...

Radial Excited States of the Nucleon in Quark Models with Dynamical Confinement

The P11(1440) (Roper) resonance 1 is the lowest positive-parity N state, most clearly visible in partial-wave decompositions of πN → πN and πN → ππN scattering, as well as in pion photoproduction. Although this four-star resonance is within the energy reach of many modern research facilities, the experimental analyses so far have not ventured beyond the determination of its mass, width, and ele...

Electroexcitation of the Roper resonance from CLAS data

The helicity amplitudes of the electroexcitation of the Roper resonance on proton are extracted at 1.7 < Q < 4.2 GeV 2 from recent high precision JLab-CLAS cross sections data and longitudinally polarized beam asymmetry for π electroproduction on protons. The analysis is made using two approaches, dispersion relations and unitary isobar model, which give consistent results. It is found that the...

The light baryon spectrum in a relativistic quark model with instanton-induced quark forces

This is the third of a series of papers treating light baryon resonances up to 3 GeV within a relativistically covariant quark model based on the Bethe-Salpeter equation with instantaneous twoand three-body forces. In this last paper we extend our previous work [2] on non-strange baryons to a prediction of the complete strange baryon spectrum and a detailed comparison with experiment. We apply ...
